Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360 Atmos Pump Housing & AM5 Socket VRM Clearance

Gen 10 Dual-Chamber Pump & Customizable Top Cap

The Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360 Atmos features Cooler Master’s redesigned Gen 10 dual-chamber pump design. The pump housing features a square profile measuring 84.9mm x 76.0mm x 55.7mm high. A unique design highlight is the transparent removable top cover cap, which can be custom 3D-printed or swapped to alter lighting aesthetics without breaking the sealed liquid loop.

The lower section of the pump block houses a precision-milled microchannel copper coldplate engineered to optimize thermal transfer across modern multi-chiplet CPU architectures.

AM5 Socket Retention Frame & VRM Clearance

When installing the MasterLiquid 360 Atmos on AMD Socket AM5 motherboards—such as the MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk WiFi EX EXPO DDR5 slot clearance AIO tubes platform—builders must navigate the physical boundaries established by the metal SAM (Socket Actuation Mechanism) frame and surrounding power delivery components:

1. 270-Degree Rotating Elbow Fitting Sweep

The Atmos pump features dual 90-degree rotary elbow fittings that can swivel up to 270 degrees around the right and bottom sides of the pump housing. The outer sweep radius of these fittings extends 15.5mm past the pump body edge. When installed with tubes facing 3 o’clock, the fittings clear standard AM5 plastic retention brackets by 4.8mm, maintaining smooth articulation.

2. VRM Heatsink & Memory Spreader Margins

On motherboard designs featuring aggressive VRM cooling towers, the left side of the Atmos pump housing sits 6.0mm away from the inner face of the VRM heat sink. When using tall ARGB memory modules, such as Teamgroup T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 sticks (46.1mm height), orienting the pump tubing towards the 6 o’clock position (downwards) provides complete physical isolation from DIMM Slot #1.

MasterLiquid 360 Atmos Clearance Metrics

Parameter / Specification Dimension / Measurement Clearance Assessment
Pump Housing Dimensions 84.9 x 76.0 x 55.7 mm Compact height clears top radiator fans
Elbow Fitting Outer Sweep Radius 15.5 mm extension Clears AM5 retention frame by 4.8 mm
Left VRM Heatsink Margin 6.0 mm gap No physical contact with MOSFET shrouds
Recommended Tube Orientation 6 O’Clock (Downward) 100% clearance for all 4 DDR5 slots

Thermal Performance & High-TDP AM5 CPUs

The Gen 10 dual-chamber pump generates high fluid head pressure, ensuring efficient heat transfer from high-density Zen 4 and Zen 5 compute dies, including an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D AM5 CPU. When paired with spacious cases capable of housing long GPUs like an RX 7900 XTX clearance model, the Atmos 360 maintains stable liquid temps under prolonged rendering loads.

Eco-Friendly Construction & SickleFlow Edge Fans

Cooler Master constructed the Atmos pump top cover using recycled plastic materials, reducing environmental manufacturing impact. The AIO is bundled with SickleFlow Edge 120mm PWM fans featuring loop dynamic bearings and quiet fan blades that generate 70.7 CFM airflow at 2.5 mmH2O static pressure. Fan cable connections are streamlined with included cable clips that keep the radiator shroud looking exceptionally clean.

Veteran Builder Installation Checklist & Diagnostic Protocol

Mounting the MasterLiquid 360 Atmos on AM5 motherboards demands careful attention to socket retention bounds:

  1. Position Fittings at 6 O’Clock: Orient the pump housing with rotary fittings facing down towards the PCIe slot. This provides 100% clearance for all 4 DDR5 RAM slots.
  2. Verify VRM Heatsink Gap: Ensure the left side of the pump block maintains at least 5mm of clearance from the motherboard VRM heatsink tower.
  3. Install Customizable Top Cap: Snap the transparent top cover cap onto the pump housing. If using a custom 3D-printed cap, ensure it does not exceed 58mm total height.
  4. Connect SickleFlow Edge Fans: Secure fan cables using included cable clips along the radiator frame. Plug the 4-pin PWM harness into the CPU_FAN header.
